SolarEdge Energy Hub Single-Phase Hybrid Inverters
SolarEdge’s single-phase Energy Hub hybrid inverters, featuring Prism technology, are designed to be more compact and lighter than earlier models while delivering efficiency levels of up to 99%. Compared to many other hybrid inverters, they offer easier handling and faster setup thanks to commissioning through the SolarEdge SetApp on a smartphone or tablet. System setup and firmware updates are performed entirely through a mobile device.
Each inverter includes a built-in DC isolator, integrated rapid shutdown functionality, and comes standard with a 12-year manufacturer warranty, which can be extended to 20 or 25 years.
When paired with the SolarEdge Backup Interface, up to three Energy Hub hybrid inverters can be combined in a single system. The Backup Interface allows the system to safely disconnect from the utility grid during outages, enabling backup operation. Each Energy Hub inverter can be paired with up to two LG Prime batteries or up to three SolarEdge Energy Bank batteries.
For whole-home backup applications, the SolarEdge Backup Interface BI-EUSGN includes a factory-installed 200A main breaker and can manage a 200A utility service, provided enough inverters and battery capacity are installed. For essential-loads or partial-home backup, the BI-NUSGN model (without a main breaker) connects downstream of the main panel and supports up to 200A of backed-up loads.
The Backup Interface also supports generator integration, which can help extend backup duration during prolonged outages when solar production is limited. If backup demand exceeds the inverter’s rated output, the system will automatically shut down to protect equipment.
Energy Hub inverters may also be installed initially without a Backup Interface, allowing the system to be expanded later with backup hardware and batteries as needs change.
