The Enphase IQ System Controller 2 serves as the central connection point between a home’s electrical system, utility grid, Enphase IQ Batteries, and solar PV systems using IQ8 Microinverters. Designed specifically for new installations featuring IQ8 technology, this controller helps simplify system design and installation.

To improve ordering and deployment flexibility, the IQ System Controller 2 is available in two distinct kit options. Each configuration includes preselected components to support common residential energy system setups.

The IQ System Controller 2 functions as a Microgrid Interconnection Device (MID), automatically sensing utility outages and smoothly transitioning the home from grid power to backup operation. By consolidating interconnection hardware into a single enclosure, it enables efficient operation of solar, storage, and optional generator systems while supporting grid-independent functionality.
