With 80% efficiency, 80% of the fuel is converted into heat while the remaining 20% is lost through the flue and normal operation. As with all 80% efficiency furnaces, this model requires metal flue venting. If your installation requires plastic or PVC venting, a 90% or higher efficiency model is necessary. The unit comes pre-configured for natural gas, but an optional LP conversion kit is available for propane use.
