Harvest Right Product Warranty and Return Policy

Money-Back Guarantee
Customers can cancel their orders before shipment for a full refund, minus a 3% fee to cover credit card processing charges.
Once the freeze dryer has shipped, returns can be made within 30 days of the shipping date for a refund, minus shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee.

3-Year Limited Warranty
This warranty applies to all Harvest Right Freeze Dryers sold after February 1, 2019.

Full One-Year Warranty (Continental U.S. 48 States Only)

• Warranty Period: 1 year from the original ship date.
• Included: Premier oil vacuum pump and oil-free vacuum pumps.
• Harvest Right’s Responsibility: Repair or replace, at our discretion, any defective part of the freeze dryer or vacuum pump caused by faulty materials or workmanship.
• Consumer’s Responsibility: Service call charges and possible costs for replacement parts due to misuse or neglect (see below for consumer responsibilities).

Limited 3-Year Warranty

• Warranty Period: Covers the 2nd and 3rd years from the original ship date.
• Harvest Right’s Responsibility: Repair or replace, at our discretion, any defective part of the sealed refrigeration system (compressor, condenser, evaporator, tubing) caused by faulty materials or workmanship.
• Consumer’s Responsibility: Diagnostic charges, transportation, and delivery costs for service.

Limited Warranty (Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and Puerto Rico)

• Warranty Period: As listed above.
• Included: Premier oil vacuum pump and oil-free vacuum pumps.
• Service Terms: Consumers must use a qualified local service provider approved by Harvest Right or contact Harvest Right directly. Consumers are responsible for shipping costs or technician travel fees. If the product needs to be sent to Harvest Right for repairs, consumers will receive a shipping credit, determined at the time of shipping.

Limited International Warranty (Other Countries)

• Warranty Period: 1 year from the original ship date.
• Included: Premier oil vacuum pump and oil-free vacuum pumps.
• Harvest Right’s Responsibility: Telephone and email support, and provision of necessary parts as deemed appropriate.
• Consumer’s Responsibility: Local service costs, replacement parts due to misuse or neglect, and transportation and delivery costs for parts to and from the consumer.

Normal Responsibilities of the Consumer
This warranty is valid only for freeze dryers used in clean environments and operated according to Harvest Right’s instructions. The consumer is responsible for:

• Proper use of the appliance per provided instructions.
• Correct installation per provided guidelines and local electrical codes.
• Connecting the appliance to a grounded power supply with sufficient voltage, and replacing any blown fuses or fixing loose connections.
• Ensuring the appliance operates in a clean, well-ventilated area (temperature range 35°F to 95°F).
• Avoiding damage during installation (e.g., not lifting the unit by the door).
• Regular maintenance and proper operation of the freeze dryer and vacuum pump.
• Ensuring that freeze-dried food or materials are fully dry before packaging.
• Using durable, air- and water-tight containers for storage.
• Including fresh, unexpired oxygen absorbers in sealed containers.

Harvest Right is not responsible for the quality of freeze-dried food, materials, or the packaging process.

Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:

• Modifications or after-market accessories that void the warranty.
• Consequential or incidental damages, including property damage and related expenses.
• Service calls for issues unrelated to material or workmanship defects.
• Damages resulting from services performed by unauthorized personnel.
• Use of parts not provided or approved by Harvest Right.
• Damages caused by misuse, inadequate power supply, or environmental factors.
• Products with altered or removed serial numbers.
• Use of extension cords instead of a direct power connection.
• Claims for personal injury, incidental or consequential damages, or lost profits.
• Transfers of ownership: The warranty is void if the product is sold or transferred to anyone other than the original purchaser.
